Short Shakespeare! Hamlet – ASL and Open Captions at Chicago Shakespeare Theater

Artistic Director Edward Hall stages CST’s first-ever 75-minute adaptation of Shakespeare’s timeless classic. Reeling from grief, the young Prince of Denmark navigates the loss of his father, his mother’s betrayal, and relationships torn apart—offering a chance for young audiences to see themselves reflected through a 400-year-old story. In addition to welcoming 20,000 students to weekday matinees, this captivating production will offer performances on Saturdays for the public. Plus, every performance includes a post-show conversation with the cast to give you an insider’s perspective into bringing the story to the stage!
