Illustrated through a special staging of "Project Potential"
Chicago Cultural Accessibility Consortium (CCAC) & Theater on the Lake present
An Accessible Services Showcase for Theater:
Project Potential by Isaac Gomez
Directed by Laura Alcalá Baker
CCAC and Theater on the Lake are proud to partner with playwright Isaac Gomez and director Laura Alcalá Baker to present a showcase of accessible services for live performance for guests with different disabilities.
Through a live staging of Gomez’s 10-minute play, Project Potential, this workshop will demonstrate the presentation of Audio Description, American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation, Open Captioning and Relaxed performance. Following a performance of the play, members of the creative, production, access and audience teams will discuss the fundamentals employed in each accessible service – occasionally doing a live rewind with the actors to illustrate. Following this two-hour session, attendees will be invited to participate in an optional Q + A with the entire team.
