SUMMARY:Windfall - Open Caption Performance at Steppenwolf Theatre Company
DESCRIPTION:WINDFALL\nWritten by ensemble member Tarell Alvin McCraney\nDirected by Awoye Timpo\nThis is a story about money. Don’t let them fool you otherwise. When a father loses his child in a clash with the police\, he is visited by three strangers who advise him to take the city’s cash settlement\, relocate and forget his grief–or else remain\, haunted by memories of the world his child fought so hard to protect. This lyrical world premiere from Academy Award-winning ensemble member Tarell Alvin McCraney is a vital and timely look at the spirit of activism set against the most indifferent system of them all: the almighty dollar.\nApril 09 – May 31\, 2026 \n  \nAccessibility: Open Captioning\, Assistive Listening Devices \nWebsite: https://www.steppenwolf.org/plan-your-visit/accessibility/

SUMMARY:"Covenant" at the Goodman Theatre
DESCRIPTION:BY YORK WALKER\nDIRECTED BY MALKIA STAMPLEY \n“Everybody got a secret.” \nExpect one devilish twist after another in Covenant\, a mythic and suspenseful new play hailed as “blackout-and-blood-curdling-scream deliciousness” (New York Magazine)\, “undeniably spooky (and) absolutely enjoyable” (TheaterMania). He left the small Georgia town a struggling guitarist—and returned a blues star. As rumors of a darker deal abound\, it becomes clear that he’s not the only one with a secret….or seeking salvation.
